I am proud to announce that the following Fathers and Family Members will be honored during the Black Men's Forum on Sunday June 21st, 2:00pm:
1. Mr. Slick Watts and Son Donald Watts
2.  Pastor Marvin Charles and his wife Mrs. Jeanett Charles of the D.A.D.S program.

Marvin Charles is an ordained minister. His extraordinary effectiveness comes from his ability to hear the pain behind the angry words and threats of those he counsels. His personal odyssey gives him the voice of authenticity. Neither class or ethnicity poses an obstacle to him being heard. Marvin has emerged as a leader in his community creating stronger fathers and healthier families. He has traveled all over the US to speak about empowering fathers, to learn from other national leaders and to share our successes with other organizations hoping to follow our example

Jeanett Charles leads D.A.D.S. along with her husband Marvin. Out of their experience with drug abuse, homelessness, the loss of their children to the state and many other challenges, the Charles built a community and a faith-based program to provide assistance to fathers who have lost their connection to their children. The commitment, love, time and attention given to Jeanett from her father gave her the confidence, courage and strength to overcome many of life’s challenges.
